- original Ford Mustang Boss 429
A rare chance to own a legendary Mustang
A very rare opportunity to secure the most coveted Mustang ever built. The car has been imported to Norway by RøhneSelmer and Pony Performance in collaboration with the renowned Ed Meyer. The provenance and history of the car is exceptionally well documented. RøhneSelmer is well acquainted with the car's history, and all documentation of ownership history is included. The unique kilometer count of only 8830km can therefore be confirmed through various purchase contracts and other documentation over the years.
The Mustang Boss 429, aka Big Boss, was originally made by Ford to use the 429 Hemi engine in NASCAR. The rules stipulated that to use this engine on the track, it had to be homologated for street use and installed under the hood of at least 500 road vehicles. This engine was initially too large for the Mustang, so Ford sought help from Kar-Kraft. They had, among other things, helped to build the engine for the legendary Ford GT40 for Le Mans. Kar-Kraft was given the task of fitting the engine, and the solution was to move the shock towers, modify the inner fenders so that there was room for the engine, and thus the Mustang Boss 429 saw the light of day.
Original S-code specimen with rare magnesium parts
Our specimen is completely original and built by Kar-Kraft. The first Boss 429 was car number KKXX1201. The car we have for sale is car number KKXX1432, an S-code. This is the very first and most rare series, and it is distinguished from the later T and A series by a number of magnesium parts in the engine.
The car looks very nice and well-maintained both inside, outside, and in the engine compartment.
